I am not much of a fan of real dragonflies … many times, a dragonfly in real life is a very frightening creature to look at with it’s eyes and body … to me anyway … but this intimate portrait of a dragonfly and flower is incredibly beautiful.
Very well captured and it shows an artistic moment that even I can love and appreciate … there is no ugliness about this dragonfly and certainly no “bug revulsion” involved for me at all … it is exquisite detail yet it is the nicest dragonfly pose I ever remember seeing!
Awe inspiring eye for detail! Dragonflies can be VERY difficult to capture at all let alone get a magnificent photo like this shot! The contrasting colors harmonize yet energize … it is restful and peaceful yet poised for movement in a heartbeat. Excellent art!
