This painting is very well done. The two light sources could have been a nightmare of blinding lights but Dale handled them beautifully.

The darkness and shadows are a lovely purple-red mulberry color … they are very striking yet not over-powering.

Today’s featured art is Sea Dragon by John Schwegel

The sea dragon is a glorious image and the scales are perfectly marvelous! The teethy overbite or is that under bite made me grin too.

Great detail and the color harmony of this painting is excellent - I would not have considered the aqua and purple to go to together but John did a great job with them and they look awesome together.

The background has all those layers … gives me the feeling of being inside a shark cage looking out kind of.
